Taipei city view in day time

New place has brought the new  experience and wonderful memory, there is a lot to explore , food and sightseeing of the city in Taipei

Taipei is the largest city of Taiwan central of economic, political and cultural. Many visitor head to Taipei for its fascination, mix of modern and traditional city, with plenty of night market and traditional food serve. I visited Taipei on September 2016, it was summer season but luckily for me that I could capture many beautiful view of city with clear sky.

I spent half day to explore the city around my accommodation before I checked out and went to the airport. I was so excited to see the beautiful city surrounding me.

COZZI hotel was starting point  because I stayed there during I was in Taipei. There was a coffee Starbucks at first floor – it’s convenient for me in order to have breakfast. I walked  along the path from starting point for exploring the city.

The traditional Festival

Actually, I did not know what’s the festival that they held in the heart of Taipei city. With my suspicion, I headed to look about it. I was surprised, many people went to that place. I really wanted to know what’s happened on them. Why did they pay their intention to that place. I noticed that there were many people waiting for somethings but I could not know what they were waiting!

The Crowded place

I walked through the crowd, and I found that both side of the path I was walking, there were the old buildings situated throughout the path. I guess this might be art show festival because I noticed that some people dressed different from other people and they had long curly hair, and they cried out in a loud voice. I did not know how to enter to inside the building, I just had look around. Finally, I found nothing interesting for me so I went back to the main road.

What an amazing food!

I found the food selling on the small truck. It was a fried meatball and sausages probably making from beef and pork. The food price was not expensive. Nearby, it was a ice-cream cone, there were a lot of flavors we can try. The weather was hot eating some ice-cream would be what I needed at that time.

Sunny day in Taipei

By the way, I was enjoying for exploring the Taipei city. I noticed that there was a screen displaying time and temperature of city which installed around traffic light. I though this was one of amazing thing that Taiwanese people were able to take benefit from it. I wish this will be available in my country.

I noticed people quite practiced follow the rule. Simply say is Taiwanese people have the discipline. For example, they will wait until traffic light provide in green, after that they will across the road. At lunch time, the weather was too hot. So, I decided to turn back and had a look another side.

Traditional House

This was amazed me! The modern building mixed traditional style. It was an outstanding house around this area and it looked unique. The traditional style house is characterized by octagon shaped and wooden. Another house or building was different design, it was also nice and interesting.

I thought this area looked peaceful and easy to live.

Motorbike corner

The motorbike is neatly arranged with this parking area. First time I saw this I have thought it was very tidy and looked good. A half hundred of motorbike was parked both side of the road. But it still remained enough area on the road for car. There was a small footpath for pedestrian. I felt they organized the area for worth and useful to Taiwanese people.

Blessing for life

I found a beautiful shrine during I was walking on the street. This shrine was a different shrine that I have ever seen in Taipei. The shrine was characterized by intense yellow rooftop tiles decorating red colour under the roof, and intense brown entrance. It was a beautiful shrine.  While I was capturing the photo, I noticed there was a man who lost his hair dressing in long and light suite. I guess he might was a staff in this shrine who had duty taking care of the shrine.

I did not enter to the shrine because I had no much time for visiting. I was in hurry to buy some souvenirs. So, I took a little bit of time for capturing this photo.

A famous souvenirs shop

Hsin Tung Yang  (新東陽) has become the number one option for consumer in Taipei. This shop provides the variety of processed meat products such as meat jerkies, shredded meat, Chinese sausage, western meat products, and mai’s Hong Kong roast food. Other product such as pineapple cake, can food, moon cake, and local special snack. The food product from Hsin Tung Yang is unique flavor and come out with new tasty. I got some moon cakes here. There were plenty of moon cake’s flavor that we can enjoy and variety of products that we can get as a souvenirs. Absolutely, I will go to  this shop one more time when I visit Taipei again.

The top of the Taipei 101

Before taking a lift, I needed to pay some money for entrance ticket -price NTD 500. After that, I made a queue for entering the lift to 89th floor of Taipei 101. The lift were made by TOSHIBA company, it takes 37 seconds from 5th floor to 89th floor with speed is 1010 metre per minute.  It was very tall building. I was on the top of Taipei 101 which could see the overview of Taipei city from here.  I went to open door of observatory at 91st floor as well. To go there, we need to  use step from 88 floor to reaching 91st floors, it was high 382 metre from 88th floors.

At 89th floor, at first you would see the shop selling ice cream and other. But I did not need. I headed to capture many picture of Taipei’s view by watching from window glasses. I could not stand near the window for long time because I was afraid the height. I often tried to avoid high places. But this was my first time to visit Taiwan, so I needed to do it even I was scaring.

Overview of 89th floors of Taipei 101

I captured this photo from the 89th floors of Taipei 101 building. Far away from me, I saw the mountain surrounding Taipei city. This afternoon was cloudy, so I saw the cloud covering the top of the mountain.  I noticed that there were not so many tall building in the city, but absolutely there were a lot of building mixed residential area. I though Taipei’s view was very nice and interesting for me. We could see  360 degree of Taipei view from this floor and 91st floors (out door of observatory). I really enjoyed to take a photo of city view there.

Wind dumping ball

Wind dumping ball has its technical name is Tuned Mass Damper (TMD). Its diameter is 5.5 metre and  weight 660 metric tons (660,000 kg), the wind dumper of the Taipei 101 is the world’s largest and heaviest. The main purpose is to reduce the building’s movement from strong wind and earthquake motion. We might say it maintain the balance of building from any motion. This dumper was hanged by thick and strong steel cable. It was worked by large hydraulic viscous wind dampers and buffer systems.

The exit floor

We took a lift at 88th floor, where is a exit. We needed to wait for a while until the lift was opened on this floor. During we were waiting, we could see the nice view from the mirror window. In this floor, they provide the information counter as well if we need some question or any trouble, we can ask them for help.

Taipei trip was a wonderful trip and fascinating place for visiting, we can enjoy with tourist attraction, unique flavor of food, tradition culture such as making a wish for fortune at the temple or shrine. I wish I could visit Taipei again.
